ARTEM OGANOV: SCIENCE SHOULD STAY OUT OF POLITICS
Artem Oganov, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the VYZOV Prize, has addressed an important issue of human dignity in his Telegram channel. Unfortunately, Artem is not the only scientist who has faced discrimination.
However, it is important that he brought the issue to the attention of general public and triggered an extensive discussion. We feel compelled to endorse Artem Oganov and his stance – when we face xenophobia, it is important to preserve our dignity.
Science should stay out of politics, regardless of the situation in the world. In 2024, VYZOV Prize established an international category Discovery that welcomes scientists regardless of their citizenship and nationality. We believe that science and scientific discoveries have no borders.
